The Satyam Programme for Parents (also available for Adults) A structured 6-week group programme for parents and carers, including time and space for 'tea and a chat' at the end of each session. Employing physical exercises, breathing, relaxation and mindfulness to support increased physical strength and well-being, reduce stress and anxiety, develop self-esteem and self-reflection and increase parenting capacity. Suitable for parents who may be involved with services, either currently or in the past.
“When parents feel accepted and supported, they seem to be able to engage in self-reflection specifically related to their parenting styles. In turn, this level of self-reflection may have a positive influence on the process of change in the parents, their children, and in the relationships between the parents and their children”.
