With the government announcement that indoor fitness studios can re-open on the 24th July, we have decided to open our doors again on Saturday 1st August. Clearly, things will look and feel a bit different to what you were used to before the Lockdown. We expect many of you will choose to continue with online classes for the time being and we respect that decision. Others will be keen to get back to a shared physical space.
From September 2020 there will be some Exclusive Studio Classes in our studio across the road. These will not be filmed and will have a total of 12 people per class.
Please take a moment to read through the guidelines below so that we can ensure that everybody gets the best out of their practice at Satyam and we are all clear about what to expect and what to do when entering the premises:
Satyam Health & Wellbeing Policy 2020
Please bring your own yoga mats with you - and any other props you like to use (yoga mats are available for purchase at Satyam).
If you are experiencing any symptoms such as temperature, sore throat or cough, we ask that you remain at home and attend the live online session instead.
There will be 2 metre distancing from the centre of each mat, meaning a maximum number of 9 students in the main studio upstairs.
Face coverings are not currently mandatory during exercise, but we request that you wear one whilst in the building. Whether or not you wear it for your practice is your choice.
All classes need to be pre-booked.
Please bring your own water bottle.
Please arrive ready in your yoga clothes wherever possible.
Please queue outside on arrival and wait to be invited in.
Please maintain social distancing at all times both outside and inside the building.
Shoes will now be removed in the Reception area - the whole of Satyam is now a shoe-free space.
Once signed in at Reception, please wash / sanitise your hands / use the toilet where necessary and go through to the cloakroom. Please then go straight upstairs to the studio.
There will be markings on the floor to show where to position your mat. Please remain on your mat throughout the practice, and do not move around the studio space.
During class the teachers will remain on their yoga mats and will be giving verbal instructions and guidance only. There will be no hands-on adjustment.
Windows will be kept open to ensure ventilation.
After your session, please leave the yoga studio one person at a time, collect your belongings from the cloakroom and swiftly leave the building. Please catch up with your friends after class outside of the building, the lounge area will be mostly out of bounds for the time being.
All toilet areas will be one in one out.
Floor and surface cleaning and sanitising will take place regularly and between each class.
