Expect guided reading from the yoga sutras in Sanskrit and gentle Scaravelli inspired movement explorations for an embodied understanding of the transformational power of the magical moment.
Embodied Anatomy: Heartfelt Presence - the heart as a whole body experience Sunday 15th July, 2pm - 5pm, with Beverley Nolan
Let the love reach all your cells in this workshop by connecting to the heart as a whole body system rather than isolated organ. Feel it pulse through the rhythmic weight of arterial blood and then waltz lightly through the veins. Expect to spend time in the non-dual moment of the capillary exchange as well as asana and movement explorations off the mat with both dynamic and lilting flows and transitions.
Embodied Anatomy practice is a multi-sensory way of learning anatomy through your own body. Using a variety of techniques including guided movement practice, visualisations, and hands-on techniques you get to explore the systems and structure of your body in a way that brings anatomy off the page and into your own experience. Beverley has been studying these practices and sharing them in workshops and trainings since 2004. Expect attention to detail and to move off and out of your mat space before finding ways to apply your experience in asana practices. Each workshop is registered as CPD with Yoga Alliance (Intl). £35 / £30 monthly members. See dates below
