This 8 week course for beginners is suitable for people who are completely new to yoga or those with some experience that would like to take it back to the basics. The course will provide an introduction to some of the key physical postures, the foundations of breathing and the art of relaxation. You will learn floor-based, seated and standing postures, including forward bending, backward bending, twists and balances. You will learn some of the basics about breathing in yoga, including some structured breathing practices that will support you to breathe more consciously and fully, not only during your yoga practice but during your daily life. Throughout the course there will be a focus on the development of mindfulness - a key aspect of any yoga practice.
The course is suitable for all ages and abilities. You do not need to be flexible, fit or in shape! Come as you are and experience the benefits of yoga.
