How to book a Yoga class You first need to create an account with us through the website. Once your account is created, you will need to purchase a pass. You can see our different pricing options on the 'Pricing' page on the website. If you are new with us you will be able to benefit from our New Client Offer (£25 for 5 classes - valid for 1 month). Click on 'Go to Store' to make the purchase. Once you have purchased a pass, you can go to the 'Timetable' page and from there book the class you want. You can also download our app "Satyam Yoga & Wellbeing" and use it to make any purchase & book the classes / courses etc.
Issues with online payment The most common reason for failed online transactions is due to the AVS check (Address Verification Check). To solve this issue, just make sure that the billing address saved on your Satyam profile matches the address that is registered with the bank that issued your bank card.
What is the difference between "Classes" and "Workshops, Courses & Events" Classes All the classes on the timetable are recurring classes that take place every week at the same time. They are bookable individually with your regular Class Pass. Workshops, Courses and Events They are bookable in the Workshop, Course & Events section on the website, and are not bookable with the Class Pass. You would need to make a separate purchase if you would like to attend one of those. You will be able to see the price for the whole duration of that specific Course or Event. A Course is running for a set number of weeks (usually between 4-8 weeks), and is bookable as a one time purchase. You cannot join a course that has already started. Workshops & Events are happening for 1 instance only, but can be recurrent (every month for instance, for the Moon Circles or Family Yoga). Tiered Pricing also applies for Workshop, Courses and Events.
New Client Offer The New Client Offer allows you to book any class on the timetable (Chesterton Centre or Mill Road Centre), except the Pregnancy Yoga classes and the Parent and Baby Yoga classes (a specific rate applies for those classes).
Cancellation Policy: 'Early Cancellation': If a class is cancelled up to 4 hours before the start, then there is no charge and the class is returned to your account. 'Late Cancellation': If a class is cancelled less than 4 hours before the start, then the class is not credited back to your Satyam account. In some cases we may be able to make an exception - please contact us. Courses, Workshops and Events have a 1-week cancellation period. Any cancellations made after this time may not be refunded. In certain circumstances it is possible to transfer your payment towards a different course. In case a class is cancelled by us/the teacher, the class would be returned to your current pass. If a class that is part of a course is cancelled by us/the teacher, the amount corresponding to the individual class will be credited on your Satyam account and you will be able to use it towards any future purchase, with no limit of time.
Late Policy: Satyam asks that you arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of your class. If you know that you are going to be late, you need to call us and inform us that you are on your way. Students arriving after the start of the class will only be permitted at Satyam's discretion. If you turn up late without informing us your place may have been given to a drop-in client or someone on the waiting list.
What is the difference between the different styles of Yoga offered on the timetable? You can check the 'What do we do' page for more details about the different styles of Yoga in our Centre.
What do I need to bring / Do I need to bring my own mat ? You are very welcome to bring your own mat, however we do provide mats and all the props that you would usually need for yoga (foam/cork bricks and blocks, cotton blankets, cotton straps, meditation cushions and bolsters.)
Mobile phones policy We kindly ask you to leave your phone in the cloakroom (or in reception if you prefer) and not bring it in the studio during the class. Of course if you have any kind of situation that requires keeping your phone with you please do so.
Health issues If you have any specific condition, ailment or issue that might affect you during a class, please speak to the teacher directly before the class starts to let them know.
The validity of my pass has expired but I still have some classes left on it, what can I do? Please drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org, so we can have a look and extend the duration of your pass for a few more weeks.
Can one person book more than one space for the same event/class Yes, but you need to get in touch with us so we can link that person to your account. Send us an email at email@example.com.
Parking space Hawthorn Way Centre We have several parking spaces specifically allocated to our customers in front of our Centre on both sides of the street, and there is also free on-street parking on Hawthorn Way. Gwydir Street Centre Unfortunately there is no allocated parking at this centre. Gwydir Street car park is across the road, however it only becomes free at 6pm. There is bike parking just across the way from the centre, and you may find more spacious parking for your bikes on Mill Road close to the Bath House.
How to use account credit at check out You will be given several payment options, such as card, cash, etc, and 'account' will be one of them. By selecting this option, you will be able to use the credit that is sitting on your Satyam account and then pay the rest by card if needed.
I am having troubles booking online Please drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org or come to see us in person. The reception is staffed from 9am to 1pm in the morning, and in the evening from 6pm until 8pm.
How to book with the Therapists in the Wellbeing Space? Satyam does not handle the bookings/schedules for the therapists, you can get in touch directly with them if you'd like to book a treatment or a session. You will find all the necessary contact details for each therapist on the 'Wellbeing Room' page on the website.
Who can benefit from our discounted rates (Support Rate / Solidarity Rate) As part of our work to make Satyam a truly inclusive and accessible space, we are continually reflecting on our pricing system. We have a 4 tier pricing system for our classes, courses and workshops that you can see on the 'Pricing' page of the website. Support rate If you are in a position to benefit from our Support rate, please send us any supporting evidence of your situation (full-time students, low income), and we will apply the status to your account. You would then be able to choose and buy any drop in or pass (either 5 classes, 10 classes or 20 classes) and benefit from a 20% discount on the price. The discount will only be visible at the very last stage of payment. Solidarity Rate The Solidarity Rate is for people who face marginalisation and who wouldn't ordinarily access spaces like yoga centres, who face barriers in their lives and who may have big financial barriers or who simply would benefit from being welcomed actively into a space like Satyam. If you feel like you could benefit from this rate, please email us at email@example.com and we will provide you with a form to send us back. This discount will not apply automatically even if we have already approved your application. Please contact us anytime you want to make a new purchase.
